My Career Journey

My family has been in construction dating back to the early 1800’s so the industry was a natural path for me to follow and enjoyBorn and raised in Londonmy family moved to East Africa for a couple of years when I was young boy and that was the catalyst for my desire to work overseas and experience different cultures. Through hard work, developing lifelong friendships & respect in the industry & a bit of luck, I have over 30 years of demonstrated success with a 360-degree global expertise in property acquisition, development, asset management and more recently with Proptech with an unquestioned reputation for integrity and ethics. 
 
I am proud of my accomplishments with Marriott, Wyndham citizenM and others, constantly evolving their projects and portfolios into success with crossed multiple geographies with an unquestioned reputation for integrity and ethics.

Multiple renovations of Select Service Properties (approx. 30 in total) all US-based

  • Portfolio Management of 17 new construction hotels, totaling around $1.4 billion.
  • Intel warehousing, site infrastructure, and office construction in Portland, Oregon.
  • New Construction of citizenM Boston North Station, amounting to approximately $100 million. Reduced project timeline by two months.
  • New Construction of Boston Renaissance, costing around $100 million. Opened in 2007 on time and within budget.
  • Renovation of Renaissance Times Square in New York, including full guestroom, bathroom, corridors, and public spaces.
  • Renovation of Marriott East Side in New York, encompassing full guestroom, bathroom, and corridors.
  • Renovation of Renaissance Baltimore in Maryland, involving full guestroom, bathroom, and corridors.
  • Renovation of Anaheim Marriott in California, encompassing full guestroom, bathroom, and corridors.
  • Property re-positioning, CAPEX conversions, and renovations of 300 projects and 60,000 rooms, with a total value exceeding $1.5 billion.

  • Marriott Edition – London – Historic Conversion – opened September 2013 on time & to
    budget
  • JW Grosvenor House – London – Historic Building – full guest room, bathroom, corridors,
    public spaces conversion / renovation in an operating open hotel. Circa $120M
    Completed on time & to budget.
  • Renaissance Barcelona – full guest room, bathroom, corridors, public spaces conversion
    / renovation in an operating / open hotel. Circa $15M Completed on time & to budget.
  •  Marriott Courtyard – Aberdeen Scotland – New Construction $25M, opened July 2013
    on time and to budget
     Courtyard Acrueil – France – new construction $40M, opened January 2011 on time & to
    budget
  • Courtyard St Dennis – France – new construction $28M, opened June 2009 on time & to
    budget
